The European Union is working on a number of initiatives that will impact transportation throughout the EU. GCCA’s Julie Hanson sits down with a senior representative from the International Road Union (IRU) to discuss a number of topics including the EU driver’s license directive (scheduled for revision by year end); current work being done on the clarification of Mobility Package 1; EU standards for safe and secure truck parking and potential EU funding as well as showcase the results of a recent IRU global survey regarding the attractiveness of the transportation industry with an emphasis on Europe.
